Expertise and Disciplines
The training activities began in November 2019 with a survey of Tunisian Partner Universities’ expertise in the field of migration studies.
The survey has been conducted by the Tunisian representatives in the Scientific Board and constituted the basis for planning the training activities from the point of view of the disciplines and topics
In the same time, the Scientific Board carried out the analysis of the expertise currently existing in the Partner Universities for the identification of the academic staff to be trained and supported in research activities and PhD qualification acquiring.
On the basis of the survey, the Scientific Board has developed a training program matching the skills required and those available in the three European universities and approving the two-years training program during the Meeting of Scientific Board held in January 2020.
The analysis of existing expertise selected 20 academic staff members, 8 from Tunis El Manar University, 6 from Tunis University and 6 from El Manouba Universities, and 6 young researchers, two for each Partner Universities, as PhD candidates in Migration disciplines, to be trained through the Training of Trainers Action.
