Accreditation Process
The Master Degree in Migration Studies is accredited as “Research Master” thanks to an agreement between the three Tunisian Partner Universities: Tunis El Manar University, El Manouba University, Tunis University.
This decision sets a precedent and strengthens the disciplinary field of social studies and international relations in the Tunisian territory, opening it to a broad spectrum of career paths without setting the insurmountable limits so far encountered by graduates in the field.
In order to start and finalize the procedure for the accreditation of the Master Degree by the Tunisian Ministry of Education, the Scientific Board has appointed a Committee made up of 5 persons, plus 1 external support:
- 1 teaching staff for each Tunisian University: Prof. Samira Mechri, Prof. Habib Ben Boubaker, prof. Krichen Saussen;
- 1 Administrative staff from UTM: Ms Lobna Zakraoui;
- 1 Administrative staff support from UNIPA: Ms Valeria Floriano;
The Commitee carried out the official procedures of accreditation, following a specific time-schedule consistent with the Tunisian legislation.
The request of accreditation has been submitted to the Tunisian Ministry of High Education, “Direction de Renovation Universitaires” and “Commission Sectorielle Nationale” in February 2021.
The result came on June 2021, in time to start the procedure for student’s enrolment and start the first year of the Master activities on September 2021, at the end of the second year of the project.
