The Training of Trainers Program for the Academic Staff is the result of a mosaic of interconnected tasks.

It includes: the analysis of Expertise and Disciplines, Workshops and Seminars, Coaching and Mentoring, Job Shadowing in cooperation with the Stake-Holders Network, Summer Schools and Support to Young Scholars.

The MIGRANTS project aims at a capacity building action that strengthens the local capacity to manage and govern migratory flows thanks to the training of highly skilled personnel able to approach, in a holistic and multidisciplinary way, the migratory phenomena affecting the Euro-Mediterranean Region.

In order to give an adequate answer to this need, the project is articulated through the institutionalization and accreditation of a Joint Master Degree in Migration Studies between the three Tunisian Partner Universities Tunis El Manar University, El Manouba University, Tunis University, and the training of teachers who will set up the teaching staff of the Master.

In order to improve the quality of Tunisian higher education, one of the main specific objectives of the Project is to improve Tunisian Partner Universities teaching staff’s capabilities through a scientific qualification in Migration Studies.

The Teaching staff’s capabilities will be improved through a comprehensive program of lessons, workshops, seminars, international summer schools, scientific publicationsmentoring and coaching shared with European colleagues, job-shadowing carry out with the stakeholders, and supporting in acquiring PhD qualification.

The project adopts an innovative methodology, implementing peer-to-peer practices, coaching and mentoring, and job shadowing methodologies. Such approach, supported by an adequate financial provision, represents the best strategy to introduce capacity building processes in any sector, especially in areas of high and medium level management such as public administration, school, and higher education.
